1. Who we are

RQM Jobs (the website at jobs.rqmbooks.com and the RQM Jobs Android app) is operated by Digital Innovative Agency FZ-LLC, a company licensed in the Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ), United Arab Emirates (licence no. 17002246). We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy. We process personal data in line with the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL) and other applicable law.

2. Data we collect

We do not ask for, and ask you not to upload, sensitive information that is not needed for a job application (for example health information, religious beliefs or passport/Emirates ID copies).

3. How we use your data

• To provide the service (performance of our contract with you): creating your account, building your profile, matching you with jobs, generating CVs and cover letters, submitting applications you ask for, tracking applications, and providing employer tools.
• Automated processing you control: we use AI to extract facts from your CV, draft cover letters and summarise job descriptions. Extracted facts are marked "Please check" and are not used in generated CVs or automatic applications until you confirm them. Auto-apply only runs if you switch it on and give explicit consent, only for jobs posted on RQM Jobs, and only with your confirmed facts. You can pause it at any time. Match scores are guidance; employers make the hiring decisions.
• Safety and integrity (legitimate interests and legal obligations): verifying employers, detecting fake jobs, fraud and abuse, enforcing our Terms, and keeping the service secure.
• Ads and billing: showing ads that keep the service free, and processing the optional ad-free subscription.
• Service messages: email verification codes, password reset codes, application updates and important notices. We do not send marketing emails without your consent.
• Improving the service: aggregated, non-identifying statistics about usage and performance.

4. Who we share your data with

• Employers you apply to. When you apply (manually or through auto-apply), the employer receives your CV, cover letter and the profile details included in the application. For jobs on other websites, you send the application yourself.
• Verified employers — only if you opt in. If you switch on "Let verified employers find me", verified companies searching the candidate pool can see your profile (for example headline, experience, skills, emirate). Your email and phone number are revealed to a company only when you accept that company's invitation. You can switch discovery off at any time.
• Service providers that process data on our behalf under contract (see section 5).
• Authorities when required by law or to protect the rights, safety and property of users or others.
• A successor if our business is reorganised or transferred, subject to this policy.

We do not sell your CV or personal data. We never use CVs or profile content for ad targeting.

Please note: once a CV or application has been delivered to an employer, the copy held by that employer is controlled by that employer under their own privacy practices. Deleting your RQM Jobs account removes our copies but cannot delete copies an employer has already received; you can contact the employer directly.

5. Service providers (processors)

• Amazon Web Services (AWS) — hosting, databases, file storage, AI processing (used to extract CV facts, draft cover letters and parse job descriptions) and sending email.
• Google — Google AdMob ads in the Android app, Google Play distribution and Google Play Billing for in-app subscriptions.
• Stripe — payments for the ad-free subscription on the web.

These providers may only use your data to provide their services to us and are bound by confidentiality and security obligations.

6. Ads

The Android app shows ads through Google AdMob. Google may use your device's advertising ID to show and measure ads, and, where permitted, to personalise them. You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads in your Android settings (Settings → Google → Ads, or Settings → Privacy → Ads). The web app may show clearly labelled "Sponsored" cards from direct advertisers; these are not personalised using your CV or profile. Ad-free subscribers do not see ads.

7. How long we keep data

• Account, profile, documents and applications: while your account is active. When you delete your account, automation stops immediately and the data is removed within 30 days, including rotation of backups.
• Purchase records: as long as required by UAE tax and accounting law (generally up to 5 years).
• Security logs and abuse reports: up to 12 months, or longer where needed for an ongoing investigation or legal claim.
• Download links for documents expire after 5 minutes.

8. Your rights

Subject to the PDPL and applicable law, you can:

• Access and export your data — Settings → Export my data (downloads a JSON file), or email us.
• Correct your data — edit your profile at any time.
• Delete your account and data — in the app (Profile → Account → Delete account), on the web at /app/settings, or see /delete-account.
• Restrict or object to processing — for example pause auto-apply, switch off discovery, or opt out of personalised ads.
• Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out.
• Complain to the UAE Data Office or the competent authority if you believe your rights were infringed. We would appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first.

We respond to requests sent to support@rqmbooks.com within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity.

9. Security

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest, access controls, hashed passwords, short-lived document links, optional two-step verification (required for administrators), and audit logs. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password.

10. International transfers

Our service providers may process data in data centres outside the UAE. Where this happens, we rely on safeguards permitted by the PDPL, such as contractual protections and providers with appropriate security certifications.

11. Children

RQM Jobs is intended for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes and contact
